Samsung N220, N210

Samsung N220As expected, most of the latest netbooks to hit the scene now feature the new Intel Atom N450 Pineview CPU.
And the upcoming Samsung N220 netbook is no exception. This 10.1-inch netbook has shown up on a French retailer, alongside it’s specifications, which include the Intel Atom N450 processor.
So far only the “Gloss Green” model has shown up, but we expect there to be more color options available. The Samsung N220 has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 pixel matte display, with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 802.11/b/g/n WiFi.

It also comes with Windows 7 Starter edition and a 6-cell 5900mAh battery which should last up to 11.5 hours. The new Atom Pineview CPU consumes less power than previous models, and along with the large battery, the impressive 11.5 hour battery life sounds like a true figure. It weighs 1.31Kg and is priced at €349.
We can see from the photos that the N220 has a chiclet keyboard, and a two button trackpad.
We expect the Samsung N220 to be officially announced next week, and be available worldwide shortly.
Update: Samsung have officially announced the N220, along with the Samsung N210 at this years CES. They officially announced four netbooks total, all featuring the new Intel N450 CPU, with the N210 and N220 providing upto 12 hours of battery life.

It is currently hard to tell what the difference are between the N210 and N220 are, it has been speculated that the N210 is for the European market, and the N220 for the U.S market.
But recently both the N210 and N220 has gone on sale in the UK, with the N220 costing just £10 more.
Internal specifications appear to be the same on both models. The N210 is available in white and black color options, while the N220 is available only in green/black shade.
Both models are available from Amazon UK. The Samsung N210 for £299.99 (£20 off!), and the N220 for £329.00.
Update: I have reviewed the N210 and given it a great rating. View the full Samsung N210 review here.

Samsung N210 Netbook

The powerful Samsung N210 is yet another addition to the wide variety of quality notebooks from the electronics giant Samsung.
The notebook is powered by 1.66GHz Intel Atom Processor N450 (512KB Cache), NM10 Chipset and it runs on the Genuine Windows 7 Starter Edition.
With 1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM and a storage capacity of 250 GB (SATA), the notebook truly delivers high-end computing experience at a really affordable price. However, just like most of the other mid-ranged products from other vendors, Samsung also opted not to feature Optical Drive supported in the N210.
The software package that comes with the notebook includes Genuine Windows 7 Starter, Phoenix Hyperspace, Samsung Recovery Solution, Adobe Reader, Easy Resolution Manager, Samsung Magic Doctor, Easy Network Manager, Battery Life Extender, Samsung Battery Manager and many more.
The display feature is also pretty impressive with its 10.1” WSVGA SuperBright Non-Gloss LED Display which offers a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600.
The audio aspect of the notebook which includes features such as HD Audio, Mic Noise Suppression, SRS 3D Sound Effect and 3W Speakers is also far from being disappointing if we compare it to the other products within its price range.
Some of the other exciting features are 0.3 Mega Pixel Livecam, 3 in 1 Card Reader (SD, SDHC, MMC), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n, Ethernet and many more.
The Samsung N210 is available at eBuyer for an amount of £169.80 only.

Samsung N210 Netbook

Samsung is a manufacturer that has actually been in the laptop market for many years. However, one thing that traditionally kept them away from the hands of the general consumer was that these laptops weren't largely distributed in big-name stores alongside their much more recognized competition. It wasn't until they came out with their first netbooks that I could walk into my local Best Buy and see a few Samsung models on the shelf. Now, a couple years after starting into the netbook field, Samsung has a wonderful line of netbooks to choose from, a lot of which are also found in major electronics stores too.
Like they've always done with their laptops, Samsung's line of netbooks often carry the more premium sought after features right out of the box. For example, the model we're reviewing here today has Bluetooth 2.0 and Wireless N as standard features. Without any further ado, I present the Samsung N210 netbook.

How to Choose the best Samsung Netbook for You

if you are looking for a netbook right now then our buying guide is a good place to start.
With each new release I’ve noticed that it becomes harder for people to choose which of the Samsung netbooks is right for them. This really is one of the questions that this site should answer so here are a few pointers.
  • Each model in the range has it’s own pros and cons, and all of them are a valid choice depending on what you want. There is no “wrong” choice.
  • Think carefully about what is important to you, think about cost, size, and design.
  • And finally, deciding when the best time to buy a netbook is can be very tricky, I think the best approach is to list all the things you would want to use a portable PC for and see if any models actually meet your requirements. If there is a netbook that does all the things you need and it is affordable then you are ready to buy! Go for it!
What tips would you give to anyone looking to buy a Samsung Netbook?
