And the upcoming Samsung N220 netbook is no exception. This 10.1-inch netbook has shown up on a French retailer, alongside it’s specifications, which include the Intel Atom N450 processor.
So far only the “Gloss Green” model has shown up, but we expect there to be more color options available. The Samsung N220 has a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 pixel matte display, with Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and 802.11/b/g/n WiFi.
It also comes with Windows 7 Starter edition and a 6-cell 5900mAh battery which should last up to 11.5 hours. The new Atom Pineview CPU consumes less power than previous models, and along with the large battery, the impressive 11.5 hour battery life sounds like a true figure. It weighs 1.31Kg and is priced at €349.
We can see from the photos that the N220 has a chiclet keyboard, and a two button trackpad.
We expect the Samsung N220 to be officially announced next week, and be available worldwide shortly.
Update: Samsung have officially announced the N220, along with the Samsung N210 at this years CES. They officially announced four netbooks total, all featuring the new Intel N450 CPU, with the N210 and N220 providing upto 12 hours of battery life.
It is currently hard to tell what the difference are between the N210 and N220 are, it has been speculated that the N210 is for the European market, and the N220 for the U.S market.
But recently both the N210 and N220 has gone on sale in the UK, with the N220 costing just £10 more.
Internal specifications appear to be the same on both models. The N210 is available in white and black color options, while the N220 is available only in green/black shade.
Both models are available from Amazon UK. The Samsung N210 for £299.99 (£20 off!), and the N220 for £329.00.
Update: I have reviewed the N210 and given it a great rating. View the full Samsung N210 review here.
